China is powering its AI era with new energy storage and smart microgrids

In China, new players in energy storage, virtual power plants and smart microgrids are helping develop and expand the country’s new energy market. Officials from China Southern Power Grid say the total access capacity connected to virtual power plants exceed 14 million kilowatts.
