Thai king’s third son wants to return home for urgent brain surgery

The estranged third son of the king of Thailand is appealing for permission to return home for urgent brain surgery. Chakriwat Vivacharawongse has been living in exile in the US without royal titles or support for two decades. The 43-year-old doctor is now seeking to return to Thailand for urgent surgery to remove two brain tumours caused by a genetic condition he has had since he was 13.
