Torrential rain triggers heavy flooding and landslides in Japan

Torrential rain has triggered severe flooding and landslides in Japan’s Ishikawa and Toyama prefectures, where thousands of residents were left stranded without power. Authorities issued the highest rain alert and advised over 380,000 people to evacuate.
