Trump made his remarks as he announced a voluntary accord signed by leaders of six major US tech companies to address growing concerns surrounding the technology he has directed officials to call “superintelligence”. The announcement follows Trump’s high-profile summit with President Xi Jinping last week, when the two countries agreed to launch an AI incident notification hotline.
