Satellite imagery taken after deadly flooding hit Nepal on Wednesday revealed the extent of damage to mountain rivers and settlements. Images taken over Bidur showed heavily swollen rivers tracking through the mountains, while images from Timure revealed damage to buildings and houses.
Triggered by a glacier collapse, a torrent of rock, ice, mud and debris hurtled through mountain river systems, killing hundreds of people. It swept away buildings, bridges and power stations.
