‘We have an obligation’: China’s new warning over Darwin Port 

China’s Ambassador Xio Qian has warned Australia could face retaliation if the government proceeds with plans to take back the Port of Darwin.“The Chinese government has an obligation to protect the interests… of Chinese companies overseas,” Mr Qian said.“If anything happens … we have an obligation to take measures to protect the Chinese companies’ interests.”
