-China is conducting military drills to practice blocking U.S. forces from interfering in a potential takeover of Taiwan. A Japanese think tank confirms these exercises are specifically designed to prevent U.S. access to the waters around Taiwan using an A2AD (anti-access/area denial) strategy.-In response, the U.S. and its allies are preparing countermeasures, including training with advanced weapons like the AGM-158 Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missile (JASSM), which is designed to penetrate enemy defenses from long range.-While China aims to keep U.S. forces out of the first and second island chains, stand-off weapons like the JASSM could disrupt this strategy, making a full blockade of Taiwan difficult to execute.

He also points out that the CCP has positioned one Marine Corps brigade and two amphibious combined arms brigades near Kinmen, indicating plans for an assault. However, these three brigades, totaling about 18,000 troops, may not be enough to quickly seize Kinmen. Their main role would likely be to establish a beachhead. President Trump moved to close a loophole called “de minimis” that has fueled a boom in cheap goods being shipped from China to the U.S. It’s a provision that allows any shipments under $800 to enter America tariff-free regardless of where the products come from. WSJ’s Jonathan Cheng traveled to the world’s largest wholesale market called the Yiwu International Trade Market to see how these products are making their way into U.S. markets. If you’ve ever bought anything on Temu or Shein, there’s a good chance it came from this bazaar near China’s east coast, which is close to huge ports in Shanghai and Ningbo.

Local media report that Taiwan’s military has deployed 100 marines to Taipei’s Songshan Airport, part of efforts to boost defenses around the capital city.

U.S. intelligence has revealed evidence that China is building a massive complex to house that growing military’s leadership. “Beijing Military City” as it’s being called, is located about 15 miles west of the Forbidden City, and covers 1,500 acres, which makes it 10 times bigger than the Pentagon. The U.S. Navy’s strategy to unleash devastation on the Chinese Military in response to a Taiwan invasion is reportedly progressing as planned. Captain Alex Campbell disclosed that the initial phase of the ‘Replicator’ initiative—designed to create a “hellscape”—is expected to be operational by August.
