Remembering former Hong Kong leader Tung Chee-hwa

Hong Kong’s first chief executive, Tung Chee-hwa, died on Tuesday at the age of 89. He served as Hong Kong’s first postcolonial leader between 1997 and 2005. The former shipping tycoon stepped down from his post before completing his second term, citing health problems. He had not been seen in public since July 2021.
