Two workers were rescued on Friday from the Upper Trishuli 3A hydropower project and a Chinese national was found in another tunnel the following day. Rescuers and family members have recounted the harrowing days leading up to their dramatic rescue. A 175-year-old temple in the Indian state of West Bengal has collapsed into the Ganges River. Despite local efforts to reinforce the area with sandbags, they were no match against the strong currents that overwhelmed the site due to severe erosion. Nepal observed a national day of mourning following a devastating glacial collapse near the China-Nepal border last month that unleashed deadly flash floods. At least 1,380 people have been confirmed dead and more than 5,500 others remain missing. While some families have been reunited with survivors, others marked the day by continuing to hold out hope that their loved ones will be found alive.
