Lu Haitao, a Chinese national, became trapped in a 225-metre tunnel at the Upper Trishuli-1 Hydropower Project in Rasuwa district. He was rescued on Saturday by the Nepalese army. Aside from showing mild signs of hypothermia, Lu had no visible injuries and his vitals were stable. Another survivor, 64-year-old Chandra Shrestha, was found alive in the debris of her partially buried home. She was airlifted to a hospital in Nepal’s capital, Kathmandu, for treatment.
