Taiwan’s National Security Bureau says five popular Chinese apps: Rednote, Weibo, TikTok, WeChat and Baidu Cloud Drive pose cybersecurity risks. After testing, officials found the apps collect excessive personal data, often without respecting user permissions. Rednote was singled out as the most serious offender.

The Shanghai Tower is a landmark building in the city located in the Lujiazui area.
