On June 21, China’s Ministry of State Security and five other ministries jointly issued a piece of legislation titled “Opinions on Legally Punishing ‘Taiwan Independence’ Diehards for Splitting the Country and Inciting Splitting the Country”, threatening the death penalty for what they call serious crimes…
