US and Japan sign critical minerals and rare earths deal 

Continuing the second leg of his trip to Asia, US President Donald Trump has met with Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi to sign a deal securing the supply of critical minerals and rare earths through mining and processing. Stephen Nagy, a professor of politics and international studies at the International Christian University, tells The World this partnership between the two countries will help them invest more in the technologies needed for the process to work smoothly.
