China is taking forceful countermeasures to defend its interests against “isolationist and coercive” measures from the U.S. but still maintains that trade ties are mutually beneficial, according to a new white paper released by a Chinese state media outlet hours after U.S. President Donald Trump’s 104% tariff on Chinese goods took effect.
