The Taishanese are true definitions of the word trailblazer. They sacrificed so much for not only future Chinese immigrants, but immigrants of all backgrounds, suffering poverty, oppression, racism, and more. Today, they still persist as one of the most successful Chinese subgroups inside and out of China.
