China’s BYD, the world’s largest electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer, released the AI on-vehicle drone system “Lingyuan” in collaboration with DJI, the country’s top drone maker.The drone system, which consists of a docking station on the roof, enabling the drone to take off, charge and track EV travels, can be integrated into all BYD’s EV models. It is now available in Chinese mainland, priced at 16,000 yuan (2,195 USD). And BYD’s Bao8 SUVs integrated with the “Lingyuan” were also launched at the event, with different specifications priced at between 395,800 to 423,800 RMB (about 54,300 to 58,145 USD).
