Pyongyang test-fires new hypersonic missile

North Korea says it test-fired a hypersonic intermediate-range ballistic missile on January 6, 2025. Pyongyang’s latest test coincides with a visit to the region by Washington’s top diplomat and just days before the inauguration of US president-elect Donald Trump.
