China hoping Australia is ‘stupid’ enough to take $1.8 trillion climate demand seriously

Strategic Analysis Australia Director Michael Shoebridge has slammed China’s climate demand for developed nations to pay $1.8 trillion a year. “The leaders in Beijing are hoping we are so stupid that we take this seriously because the largest source of emissions on this planet is the economy that the leaders in Beijing run,” Mr Shoebridge said. “They’re hoping to trade on our naivety and stupidity.”
