The tour group was organized by a local travel agency in Taiyuan, Shanxi Province, and the itinerary included a four-day trip to Beidaihe and Tianjin.The Tianjin Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism issued an official statement via their WeChat account, stating that the Deng, the tour guide involved, was a local guide in Tianjin. Deng’s tour guide license had been revoked last September, and she was operating without a license. The guide has been fined the maximum penalty of 30,000 yuan and her illegal earnings have been confiscated.#chinaobserver
